Uvi Poznansky Asks Me About "The Realms"

I see that recently you have stepped into a new genre, paranormal. Tell us what you are up to?

Last Christmas I was approached by another author who wanted to get four or five authors together to write different books with some cross-characters, but all set in the same location. The idea was to write something like the Star Trek book series, where we could always return and create something new knowing the parameters of our setting. There were five of us who brainstormed over hundreds of emails to come up with ‘The Realms’ a parallel dimension hidden between Minneapolis and St. Paul where creatures, humans think of as only mythical roam free.

Could you give us some more information about The Realms? It sounds fascinating.

Author Showcase - Alexia Stevens

Farloft and I were so pleased to be invited to Alexia's garden for a recent visit. She spoiled Farloft with a snack table full of goodies. I had a hard time getting him to go home when it got dark. He wanted to spend the night in the hopes that Alexia would refill the table in the morning. Greedy old dragon.

Alexia was a very gracious hostess. We had a really nice visit and Farloft shared tons of pictures. Hope you will click on the link to take a look.

Just Imagine with Lorna Suzuki

Lorna Suzuki is the author of the IMAGO series, soon to be a major motions picture.
I love the Welcome on her blog:

There is a secret place that exists; unknown to most,
forgotten by many and lives on only for the few who believe.

Though you cannot look to a map to find this magical realm, it is still very real. In this world, lost on a plane that hangs in the twilight where one enters a dream as sleep takes over the body and mind; Imago lives on.

Here, as in all places where man dwells, the eternal struggle between good and evil plays out. There are places fair and foul, heroes that are larger than life and villains that one hopes exist only in our nightmares.

In this mystical world life is an extraordinary adventure where revenge and redemption, betrayal and salvation, and love; lost and found are woven together to create this rich tapestry of life.

Where is this realm you ask?
To find Imago all you must do is close your eyes and believe...

Pen & Ink Design a World

How do you approach creating a new world for your readers?
That was the question Annie Acorn, Pen & Ink asked me to comment on.

I used my creation of Captain Targus' world of Walh in "The Malefactors" Vol. 4 of The Star Traveler Series

Fairview Library Reading - January 10, 2015

This isn't really an interview or a guest blog post, but a reading done for the Multnomah County Libraries. I really enjoyed interacting with the little kids. It made me anxious to create a Farloft book for the younger set. I think Farloft may have a picture book soon.

I have been writing for the VoiceCatcher site over the past few years. My first series of articles were based on my memoirs We 3, about being a babyboomer caregiver.

My most recent column is entitled 'The Knotty & Nice of Indie Publishing' which covers my first year as a published author.
